If you have the time and desire why not go for it? I left the corporate world when I was 37 with 4 children. It took me 12 years. But, if you can devote full time, you should be able to do it in 4-5 years, depending on the particular program you embark upon. There is always the distance learning route, but I do not think you can get Egyptology via distance learning. We certainly need more Christians in the field. I wish you God’s best.
